SLCL was honored to receive the Outstanding Local Government Achievement award from the East-West Gateway Council of Governments. Library Director Kristen Sorth and Library Board President Dr. Lynn Beckwith accepted the award for Leadership in Planning and Design Innovation at the organization’s 52nd Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on November 17, 2017. The award recognizes the library’s ongoing capital improvement campaign, called Your Library Renewed, to renovate or rebuild 19 of the library’s 20 branches. Learn more.
