Each kit contains a portable recorder and lavalier mic, as well as a memory card and adapter. There is also a folder with instructions and resources for conducting oral history interviews from the History & Genealogy Department.
Oral History Kits can be reserved up to a year in advance at slcl.myturn.com or by calling the History & Genealogy Department at 314-994-3300 ext. 5. A valid St. Louis County Library card is required. Kits may be picked up at any St. Louis County Library branch. Kits are checked out for up to 3 weeks and may not be renewed. Only one kit may be checked out at one time. The kit should be returned at the service desk inside any St. Louis County Library branch.
