St. Louis County Library cardholders can experience Headspace for free! Headspace makes meditation and mindfulness techniques available online so more people can experience the benefits of meditation anytime, anywhere. Learn more.  

 

 

Reciprocal eMedia Lending

You can now borrow eMedia from area partner libraries with your SLCL card! Access eMedia from St. Louis County Library, St. Louis Public Library and St. Charles City County Library using OverDrive or the Libby app. Some restrictions apply–learn more.

Brainfuse Online Tutoring

Brainfuse HelpNow connects students in grades K-12 with live tutors in a safe and secure online classroom. Students can access academic tutoring, homework help and test prep assistance. Resources are also available for early college students, adult learners, job seekers, and veterans. Anyone with a valid St. Louis County Library card can use Brainfuse. Learn more.

Sunday Hours at Mid-County

The Mid-County Branch will be open on Sundays from 1:00-5:00 p.m. starting June 5, 2022. We’re offering additional Sunday hours at Mid-County during construction of the new Clark Family Branch. Visit www.slcl.org/branches for more information about hours and locations.

 

Fund the Need Week

The St. Louis County Library Foundation will hold an online Fund the Need Week during June 6-10, 2022. The goal of the campaign is to raise $225,000 to help fund help fund intergenerational tutoring, regional literacy efforts and one of the world’s largest free storytelling festivals, the St. Louis Storytelling Festival, taking place this fall. Author Series Moves to the J

St. Louis County Library's popular author series is moving off-site this summer, when construction begins at Library Headquarters. Thanks to a partnership between SLCL and the J’s St. Louis Jewish Book Festival, many events will take place at the J’s Staenberg Family Complex in the Mirowitz Performing Arts & Banquet Center. Learn more.

Headquarters Closing in May

Construction will begin this spring on a new branch to replace the current Library Headquarters building. In preparation for the project, Library Headquarters will close to the public at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28. Patrons will be directed to nearby branches during construction, which is expected to last  15-18 months. The History & Genealogy Department will be temporarily relocated to the Daniel Boone Branch. The author series will be moved to an off-site location. Learn more.
