Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is offering a temporary program, the Emergency Broadband Benefit program (EBB), to reduce the monthly cost of internet service. This program will help provide you with discounted internet at home. If your household is eligible, you could get up to $50 per month off your internet bill. Internet service providers will help sign up eligible households until funding for the program runs out. Learn more

Expanded Hours & No Appointments

SLCL will expand hours and open branches to the public on Monday, May 10, 2021 without requiring appointments. Additional safety guidelines are in place to keep patrons and employees safe. Learn more

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Give your child a head start, sign them up for the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program! You can now track your child's reading online. They will earn prizes and incentives along the way. Learn more.

Portable Projectors Now Available

Portable projectors are now available for check-out! The projectors are perfect for outdoor movies, business presentations and other creative ideas such as gaming and art projects. Anyone with a valid library card can check-out a projector for 14-days period at any SLCL branch. Learn more.

Virtual Teen Book Festival

St. Louis Teen Book Festival April 8-18, 2021

St. Louis County Library, HEC Media and the Novel Neighbor bookstore are excited to announce the St. Louis Teen Book Festival taking place online April 8-18, 2021. The event will feature 39 of the hottest writers in YA literature and 11 days of programming dedicated to teen readers. Learn more. 

Saturday Curbside Service Returns February 13

Curbside service will resume on Saturdays starting February 13. Patrons can use this contact-free service to pick-up books, print-outs and other library items. Curbside hours starting February 13: Monday through Thursday from 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Learn more.
