The Urban Libraries Council has named St. Louis County Library a 2020 Top Innovator. The annual Innovations award recognizes cutting-edge programs, strategies, tools, techniques and ideas from ULC’s member library systems across the U.S. and Canada. Playaway Launchpads

Playaway Launchpads come pre-loaded with educational games and interactive content for kids. No wi fi required. Request one through the catalog and pick it up via curbside. Learn more.

Drive-thru Meals Return

Drive-thru meal service will resume on Monday, September 14. St. Louis County Library and Operation Food Search are providing drive-thru food pick-up for children from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at 10 SLCL branches. Participating branches will provide two shelf-stable breakfasts and two lunches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Meals will be available free of charge for children ages 18 and under. Meals will be distributed in the branch parking lots. Learn more.

Mid-County Branch Opens for Curbside

The Mid-County Branch will reopen for curbside service only on Thursday, August 20. The book drop will also be available. The branch closed earlier this month after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The building has been disinfected. SLCL continues to follow CDC and St. Louis County guidelines to help ensure the safety of staff and patrons. Learn more. 
 

Parent Packs

Parent Packs offer parents and caregivers quick access to topics that kids and adults have questions about. Each pack contains books and other information around a topics such as the first day of school, death, potty training, going to the dentist and more. Learn more.

Samuel C. Sachs Branch Opens for Curbside

The Samuel C. Sachs Branch will reopen for curbside service only on Wednesday, August 5. The book drop will also be available. The branch closed in late July after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The building has been disinfected. SLCL continues to follow CDC and St. Louis County guidelines to help ensure the safety of staff and patrons. Learn more.

Branches Return to Curbside Only Service

St. Louis County Library will return to curbside only service starting Wednesday, July 29, 2020. All library buildings will be closed to the public until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Book drops will remain open, unless otherwise noted. All 20 SLCL locations will offer contact free curbside pick-up for patrons to retrieve books, movies and other library materials. Learn more
