Emergency Rental Assistance

St. Louis County residents can sign up to receive emergency rental assistance at four St. Louis County Library branches. Representatives from St. Louis County Government Emergency Rental Assistance Program, the Salvation Army and St. Patrick’s Center maintain regular scheduled hours at several local libraries. Residents can obtain other forms of assistance during these events such as help with landlord negotiations, utility assistance, translation services and housing information. Learn more

Vaccines for Kids Start November 10

St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis County Department of Public Health will offer the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11 starting on November 10, 2021. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it formally recommends use of the vaccine for that age group. The Library hosts weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinics at four branches. Health insurance or proof of residency is not required. Appointments can be made at revivestl.com, but walk-ups will also be accepted. Consent forms for ages 5-18 must be completed in order to receive a vaccine.

Period Supplies Available at 5 Branches

Flow kits from the St. Louis Alliance for Period Supplies are available at five SLCL branches. The free kits contain 20 period supplies and are available during drive-thru meals or curbside hours. Learn more

Voting Sticker Contest

Calling all St. Louis County voters and aspiring voters in grades 6–adult! The St. Louis County Board of Elections in partnership with the St. Louis County Library is seeking creative designs for new “I Voted” stickers. Entries will be accepted September 27–October 15. The winning stickers will be professionally printed and distributed to polling places throughout the County in April 2022. Learn more.

My Immigration Story

In celebration of Welcoming Week, September 10-19, adults 18+ are invited to submit their original stories for inclusion in the St. Louis County Library immigration story collection. The collection will appear in Biblioboard, an online collection of works available to all participating Missouri libraries, available in SLCL’s eMedia collection. Learn more

Reciprocal Lending Expands

St. Louis County Library is pleased to announce the addition of reciprocal lending agreements with Jefferson County Library, Scenic Regional Library and the Washington Public Library. At their August 16, 2021 meeting, the SLCL Board of Trustees approved adding reciprocal lending agreements with the three additional library districts.
