The History & Genealogy Department will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 29 with a day of activities and classes at Library Headquarters. An open house begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Headquarters Auditorium with tours of the department to follow. The renovated Grand Glaize Branch will reopen on Thursday, September 13 at 9:00 a.m. The new and improved branch will be 5,500 square feet larger, and will feature a colorful children's area, private study rooms, updated meeting rooms, comfortable seating and more. Learn more.

SLCL will host a series of virtual reality programs starting in September using Google Expeditions. Participants use virtual reality headsets to explore a variety of scenarios and landscapes including oceans, volcanoes, space and college campuses.
